H. Seabra was the company selected for the construction of the new GCT Group’s logistic platform – Gestão de Comércio Total SGPS S.A., located in Palmela.

This project, internationally submitted to public tender  in the area of design/construction, enabled H. Seabra the presentation of a technical solution developed by its I&D department, significantly reducing its energetic costs: High Efficiency System (HES).

This technical solution is based upon an ammonia application as primary refrigerant to directly service frozen products and for glycol water as a secondary refrigerant to service all refrigerated spaces.

GCT recognized H. Seabra’s technical quality and innovative solutions for this project’s execution, the guaranteed deadline fulfilment was also an important factor in their decision, reason for having trusted us with the first ammonia refrigeration facilities and their biggest logistic platform in Portugal with a total volume of refrigerated frozen products of 25.000 m3 and 30.000 m3.
