H. Seabra in association with Marques SA, was awarded the international tender for the construction of the new Cold Store for Lotaçor – Serviço de Lotas dos Açores S.A., located in Ponta Delgada intended for the freezing, treatment and storage of fish, especially tuna.

This new unit consists of 3 fish brine freezing tanks with a capacity of 30-36 tons/day each, two static freezing tunnels with a 20-24 tons/day freezing capacity, four conservation chambers for frozen products with a total 1.295 ton capacity, a 50 ton conservation chamber for fresh products, a daily 10 ton ice production and a 20 ton ice storage capacity in an “Orbital” type automatic silo.

It is yet another investment of the Regional Government in order to support local fishing, an area in which H. Seabra has a profound knowledge, as well as of the manufacturing associated techniques, ice storage and distribution, being a market leader for over 30 years.
